About This Video

In 2004 my girlfriend and I quit our jobs in PR and set off backpacking across South America.

We did an epic circuit starting in Ecuador, heading south through the andes to the southern most tip of Patagonia then all the way up the continent to the Carribean coast of Venezuela.

Sweeping mountain ranges, glistening beaches, remote Galapagos islands, steamy amazon jungle, 100 beds, 48 books, 420 hours on the buses.

We arrived back in London in 2005, sun tanned and fluent in Spanish, and got married six months later.
